The Anime Order (theanimeorder.com) is a static reference site. This page explains what data is involved when you visit it.

What we collect directly

The Anime Order has no accounts, no login, no comment system, no newsletter and no forms. We never ask you for a name, an email address or any other personal detail, and there is nothing on this site you can submit. The one exception is the anonymous usage measurement described under Analytics below.

Analytics

With your agreement, this site uses Google Analytics 4 to count page views and understand which pages people find useful. It then sets a first-party cookie on this domain (named _ga) holding a randomly generated identifier, and reports to Google the page you viewed, a truncated version of your IP address, your approximate location, and basic details about your browser and device.

We use this only in aggregate — which watch orders and filler lists get read, and which are ignored. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors, and we have no means of doing so. The data is processed by Google under its own terms; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Your choice, and how to change it

Analytics is off until you agree to it. On your first visit a banner asks, and until you answer — or if you ignore it entirely — no analytics cookie is set and nothing is reported. Refusing is a single click, the same as accepting.

Your answer is remembered in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie, so declining does not itself store a cookie. To change your mind at any time, use in the footer of any page. Choosing Reject there stops any further reporting and the existing cookie expires on its own.

Advertising and ad-personalisation signals are declined at all times, regardless of what you choose here. You can also install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, block cookies for this domain in your browser settings, or use any tracker-blocking extension. Nothing on this site stops working if you do — no content depends on it.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data — IP address, browser user agent, requested URL and timestamp — in order to serve pages and protect against abuse. This is handled by Cloudflare under its own privacy terms, and we do not build profiles from it.

Third parties

Cover art is loaded directly from AniList's image servers, which means your browser makes a request to them when a page with artwork loads. We do not share any information with AniList beyond what that request necessarily contains.

Advertising

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technology to serve and measure them, and your browser contacts Google's servers when a page with an ad loads.

Ads on this site are non-personalised. The advertising consent signals — whether Google may store an advertising identifier, use your data for advertising, or personalise what you see — are set to denied for every visitor, and nothing on this site turns them on. Ads are chosen from the page's content and general context rather than from a profile of you.

You can review or change Google's own advertising settings at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.

Controlling cookies

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking them will not affect your ability to read anything on this site, since none of the content depends on them — the watch orders and filler lists are plain pages that render the same either way.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date at the top.
